On 30 April, the British breakthrough artist RAG’N’BONE MAN will visit Estonia with his new tour Grande Reserve Tour and play a concert at Tallinn Creative Hub.

Undoubtedly 2017 has been Rag’n’Bone Man’s year. His album Human has been successful all over the world. Rag’n’Bone Man’s (real name Rory Graham) LP has become the fastest selling solo album for a male artist this decade – during the week following its release, it sold more copies than the debut albums of Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith. “Rory’s album is both modern and classic at the same time, combining blues, hip hop and vintage-styles with pop,” wrote NME magazine. “His style is unusual as it combines modern production with sounds that chime like the voice of an old blues singer from a southeastern state,” The Guardian added.
The title single of the album has become a worldwide hit – the song Human has reached number 1 on the iTunes charts in more than 40 countries. Music critics have been unanimous in their praise of the song, calling it a true triumph and a seismic piece, adding that Rag’n’Bone Man is destined to become a major star. The album also includes the singles Skin and As You Are and songs produced by Two Inch Punch, Jonny Coffer and Mark Crew. At the beginning of the year, Rag’n’Bone Man won two Brit Awards in the British Breakthrough Act and Critics’ Choice categories. The latter is oftentimes considered a guarantee of subsequent success – this award has previously been given to Adele, Florence + the Machine, Sam Smith and James Bay.
What is unusual about Rag’n’Bone Man is the fact that he is not a brand-new artist who usually gets the breakthrough of the year award. 32-year-old Rory has been involved in music one way or another since he was a teenager. He became a full-time musician in 2013 after signing a contract with a major record company. According to Rory himself, he has loved music since he was very young. His parents were very fond of folk music, and his father played the guitar. Rory only started thinking about recording his original music after he discovered hip hop and became immediately enchanted with the idea of making music himself. In a recent interview, Rag’n’Bone Man announced that he is already thinking about a new LP. “I do not like to go on staying in one place. Some people say that a musician must have a special path or special style. I do not believe in that. You can choose whichever path and then the listeners can decide themselves what is good and what is not. I would like to experience everything in my music and take it to all the places in the world.”
The last year of concerts was also very successful for Rory. He performed sold out shows all over Europe and played at major festivals, including Glastonbury. He will embark on a new concert tour called Grande Reserve Tour at the beginning of 2018 across 20 countries, including a concert at Tallinn Creative Hub on 30 April.
