To mark the occasion, the Tallinn Creative\u00a0Hub will keep its doors open from 18:00 to 00:30 and gives its guests the opportunity to walk around in the different rooms of the Creative\u00a0Hub, even the ones that are usually inaccessible.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The events include tours, exhibitions about history, and a music programme. Participants can play with fire, light, clouds, and electricity, learn about fun thinking games, try their hand at table tennis, create their own board games, and support the best Estonian model car racers. Floor 0 and Woodblock Hall of the Creative Hub.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The exhibition showcases the history of the building of the Tallinn Creative\u00a0 Hub, which spans more than a century. It takes us back to the year 1913, when the first Tallinn Central Power Plant began operating near P\u00f5hja puiestee, and covers the destruction caused by war (1941-1944), and the reconstruction of the power station as a thermal power plant. The exhibition also includes Agne Nelk\u2019s short films and Elmar J\u00f5gisu\u2019s overview of the former heads of the boilerhouse, which is complemented by video interviews with the former employees of the boilerhouse. The most interesting ideas submitted to the architecture competition held for the reconstruction of the power station are also exhibited and the picture gallery will provide a look at the construction works.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>18.00\u201300.30 Table tennis workshop, thinking games and game design.<\/b> <b>Instruction is provided by Pinksiklubi, the Estonian Draughts Union, Ants Soos\u00f5rv and team (Kevin Kallikorm, Brenet Rahum\u00e4gi, Erko Olumets) and Meelis Looveer. Black Box, Floor II.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The <b>Pinksiklubi <\/b>table tennis club offers everyone the chance to play table tennis. Pinksiklubi is an urban installation that focuses on table tennis and music, whose concept is to create social cohesion, sustainability, design, and art in the public urban space. The rules of the first four can be easily learnt in a couple of minutes, but shogi (Japanese chess), mahjong, renju, and go require greater focus and preferably some advance knowledge. We will welcome all guests from the age of six to grandfathers and grandmothers. You can try the games with your team members or other interested players. We can also organise mini tournaments if we get the numbers together. We speak Estonian, Russian and English.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ants Soos\u00f5rv (team captain)<\/b>: \u201cI have been playing thinking games for almost 30 years, 27 of them as a teacher. Right now, I teach at Kullo Huvikeskus, JWG, GAG, N\u00f5mme PK, Kivim\u00e4e PK, Laagri hobby school, and Saue Upper Secondary School. I am the General Secretary of the Renju International Federation (RIF), the President of the Estonian Renju Union, Grand Maser in renju (7<sup>th<\/sup> dan), and a master candidate in bridge. I also like playing chess, draughts, gomoku, penta, and many other thinking games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Kevin Kallikorm (team member)<\/b>: \u201cI\u2019ve been playing all kinds of games all my life and remembered the rules of many games in great detail. I\u2019ve had a rating in shogi, go, and renju.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Brenet Rahum\u00e4gi (team member)<\/b>: \u201cI study in the 12<sup>th<\/sup> grade at Tallinn Arte Upper Secondary School. I\u2019ve played renju and gomoku for seven years, my ranking in renju is 4<sup>th<\/sup> dan (master candidate). I play renju and many other thinking games in my spare time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Erko Olumets (team member)<\/b>: \u201cI study in the 10<sup>th<\/sup> grade at Tallinn Secondary School of Science. I have been playing renju and gomoku for 10 years. I spend most of my spare time playing renju and other thinking games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The<b> Estonian Draughts Union<\/b> invites everyone to play checkers! The Estonian Draughts Union consists of 16 checkers clubs. It was established in 1991 and is a member of the Estonian Olympic Committee. The task of the Draughts Union is to organise Estonian Championships in Russian and international draughts and to popularise draughts as a thinking game. The game was created by the Astangu Vocational Rehabilitation Centre in cooperation with the Tallinn &amp; Harju County Department of the Unemployment Insurance Fund to introduce the situations people with special needs encounter on the labour market. The game is based on the principles of an ordinary circus game \u2013 by rolling the die and ending up on the \u2018Go to career counsellor\u2019 square, the player can move on faster in the game, but when they end up on the \u201eOverslept\u201d square, they can quickly drop back. Spending time together and making quality beer with good equipment, and giving advice about brewing is also important. Tark Bakter has been operating in the FoodLab of Creative Hub since later 2015.
