Kirill Serebrennikov’s „Martyr“ tells a story of an ordinary school boy who becomes a religious fundamentalist. How do his fellow students and teachers react? What does God’s word have to say about physical education? Marius von Mayenburg’s play on which the production is based has been recently staged in Germany, Poland, Russia and England.
