Choosing the right texts is extremely important to me when writing choir music. My search for perfect texts has allowed me to meet a lot of bright minds during my life whom I have never had the chance to see eye to eye. This concert is all about the texts of three Estonian poets: Ernst Enno, Juhan Liiv, and Karl Ristikivi, whose works I have tried to explore by translating them into music. The concert also premiers the 3-part cycle written for the Estonian National Male Choir “Ernst Enno avarused…” (“The spaciousness of Ernst Enno…”). (Pärt Uusberg)
