‘Brodsky/Baryshnikov’ is a one-man performance of Nobel prize-winning poet Joseph Brodsky’s poems – an emotional journey into the very heart of the deep and complex works of the poet by world-famous theatre and film actor and former ballet star Mikhail Baryshnikov. Having emigrated from Russia to the United States in the 1970s like Brodsky, Baryshnikov will be performing his old friend’s poetry in its original form i.e. in Russian. The expressive physicality of the actor is used by the director to open the door to the deeply contemplative world of Brodsky for the audience in veneration.
Premiere on 15 October 2015.
Performance lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes (no interval).
Please note: The performance is in Russian with Estonian subtitles.
