Creative Hub virtual studios make history once again

A total of 55 events have been held in the virtual studios of the Creative Hub to date, including the first meeting of the member states of the UN Security Council to be held virtually.

Estonia is the presiding member of the UN Security Council this May. The first ever virtual meeting of the council’s member states was held on 8 May in the virtual studios of the Creative Hub. Toomas Sildam from Estonian Public Broadcasting explained that Estonia invited 80 countries to come together virtually using the secure Hybridity event platform developed in the country. “The team of technicians and directors transmitted the meeting like a TV show, sending it out as a multi-directional video feed from the Creative Hub all over the world,” he said.

Alongside the UN Security Council meeting, the contact-free studios at the Creative Hub last week hosted seven other events: a discussion between President Kersti Kaljulaid and European Commission Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans; a contact-free information day for the LIFE programme; an Estonian Union of Educational Technologists supervisory session for school pupils; the Miltton Monthly LIVE event; an Innove Foundation webinar; the Telia SPUNK event; and the opening of the Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival or HÖFF.

In total, 55 broadcasts have been made from the virtual studios, which enable the organisation of events meeting all modern requirements. We offer an all-in-one solution, thanks to which conferences, press events, seminars, conversation evenings and other events can take place now and will continue to be able to do so in the future while taking any and all restrictions into account.

Eye-catching studios and stages boasting cutting-edge technology have been set up in the Cauldron Hall and Black Box at the Creative Hub. The speakers and audience take part through a camera lens in a contact-free space – for the most part their own homes. The stage is given over to the event moderator or the speakers, whose presence ensures a cosy conversation. In due course we will also be offering solutions for hybrid events taking place under 2+2 conditions.

The consortium behind the Creative Hub’s contact-free conferences consists of the Creative Hub itself, Miltton New Nordics, the event marketing agency Royal Experience, Eventech, Telia, Cisco Systems, Two One, ProLab, technical partner Valge Klaar and broadcasting partner Minu Rada.
