Ideas, Flavours, Experiences

On 12 November 2018, prior to the announcement of the best restaurants in the Baltics at Tallinn Creative Hub, there will be a world-class seminar programme featuring speakers from the world of global hospitality.

The first part of the seminar will focus on hospitality marketing strategies and ideas. James Hacon from London will conduct a two-hour workshop on this topic. James was the founder of Think Hospitality and has years of experience working with restaurant and hotel brands around the world. After the workshop there will be a panel on marketing and how the Baltic region can become more relevant, with an esteemed line-up including Argot Murelius (USA/Sweden), Carla Capalbo (UK), Anya Seeberg Liaaen (Norway), Virginia Ann Newton (Denmark) and Ragnar Eiriksson (Iceland) – the head chef at Dill, Iceland’s only Michelin-starred restaurant. The panel will be moderated by Heleri Rande. The first part of the seminar will close with a lunch prepared by chef Peeter Pihel (Estonia).

The second part of the seminar will be dedicated to flavours and experiences. The #1 bartender in the world, Mr Lyan a.k.a. Ryan Chetiyawardana from London, will take to the stage to inspire the crowds. On the other side of the stage in the Belvedere Lounge, guests can sample some of the cocktails inspired by Mr Lyan. Next door, the Coca-Cola Lounge will be offering innovative mocktails, Jungent Coffee Lounge will have the best cuppa and Food Studio will showcase a variety of broths. Following Ryan, an Estonian success story, Artur Kazaritski, will speak about his experience making it to the position of sous chef at the best restaurant in the Nordic region, Geranium in Copenhagen. Johannes Schellhorn, the head sommelier at the one-star Michelin restaurant Nobelhart&Schmutzigi in Berlin will tell his story. There will be plenty to discover around the venue, providing food for thought and body alike. The ticket for the second part of the seminar includes lunch prepared by chef Peeter Pihel (Estonia) and the announcement of the best Baltic restaurants.
