Veronica Fossa will deliver her talk “Food, Design and Urban Culture” on Sunday, 6 September 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The talk will be held in English.
Urban food has witnessed a big growth all around Europe. Empty and abandoned industrial areas have been filled with colourful markets and festivals. Unlike ever before, new charming cafes, exotic restaurants and food related professions have been popping up all around the world as required from a society that craves more. As a result, cities are bustling, food tourism is growing exponentially and countries are reviving local cuisine and food tradition that were once forgotten.
Veronica shares her story getting involved in urban food culture in Helsinki, participating to the Restaurant Day, organising creative breakfasts with Likemind Helsinki to launching her own experiential agency WE Factory that has popped up in 6+ countries. With the mission of creating happiness and well being in the professional life by utilising food as a tool and with the help of design methods, she discusses how to address issues that we face as food producers or food consumers.
Free entrance!
Lecture will be held in Tallinn Creative Hub (Põhja pst 27a), 5th floor (Loft).
