The Centre Of Multisensory Art (COMA) is a new residency programme at STPLN looking for artists exploring the broad-ranging and intriguing field of multisensory art. Artists living in the Nordics and Baltics (excluding Sweden – sorry!) are eligible to apply. Three artists will be selected to spend two months in-house in order to develop a final piece that may be, but is not limited to, a performance, exhibition, screening, installation or immersive experience. The artists will receive attractive compensation thanks to Nordisk Kulturkontakt as well as premium access to the resources at STPLN (ranging from laser cutters and 3D printers to production/performance spaces and a wide network of in-house creatives).
The artists will be selected by a seven-member expert panel:
*Zeenath Hasan, senior lecturer in the Department of Design at Linnaeus University
*Caroline B. Le Bongoat, senior project manager at Design Malmö
*Elinor Samuelsson, co-founder at The Kokon
*Ulrika Forsgren Hogman, head of communications at LTH
*Jenny Järvå, managing director at Inkonst
*Niels Christian Nielson, assistant professor at the Multisensory Experience Lab at Aalborg University
*Jenny Lee, materiologist and author at Studio Aikieu
Deadline for applications: 31 July 2018 (18:00 CEST)
